The latest member to join Regent Seven Seas’ luxurious fleet is Seven Seas Splendor, currently on her way to Miami to be christened by godmother, Christie Brinkley. Afterwards, she’ll be open for business with sailings in and around the USA, before coming over to Europe for several Mediterranean voyages.

Here’s everything you need to know about Seven Seas Splendor. Will she live up to her name?

Spacious Suites

Seven Seas Splendor

This vessel can accommodate 750 guests in her 375 suites, all fitted with a private balcony, walk-in-wardrobe and separate sitting area. You’ll have the choice from 10 different grades, ranging from a Veranda Suite to the Regent Suite that showcases a £150,000 bed, an original Picasso and a Steinway piano. This flashy penthouse may not be for everyone but, if you’re looking to treat yourself, why not make the splurge?

Regardless of the suite you decide to stay in, you’ll have a personal butler to welcome you in and bring anything you request, from pre-dinner drinks on the balcony to late-night snacks in bed. You’ll also have plenty of space in your private bathroom, fitted with branded amenities, and on your private balcony.

Intricate Interiors

Seven Seas Splendor Dragon

If you’re impressed by the accommodation, you’re sure to get that wow-factor from the rest of the ship’s interior. When you first step on board, you’ll be welcomed with a light colour palette, jewel-toned accents and crystal chandeliers – 500, to be exact. Over an acre of Italian marble and other exquisite materials were used to give this ship an opulent atmosphere.

Keep an eye out for the numerous pieces of art on the walls; their combined price equals around £3.8 million. Although the ship has a luxurious ambience, it still feels comfortable and homely, with various soft furnishings and inviting seating arrangements placed all around.

The ship’s design has a spacious layout with the different sections blending beautifully together. Its open plan nature allows you to see from reception, all the way down the corridor, to the golden dragon statue outside Pacific Rim.

High-Class Cuisine

Seven Seas Splendor Compass Rose

You’ll find five restaurants on board Seven Sea Splendor, offer everything from steaks and sushi to classic French and Italian cuisine. You can enjoy flavoursome breakfast burritos on the shaded, open-air deck in the morning and authentic Italian meals at La Veranda in the evening. Once a week, Compass Rose serves up a delicious brunch consisting of fresh lobster, Iberian ham and decadent desserts.

At the American-inspired Prime 7, you can indulge in spectacularly cooked steaks accompanied by beautiful wines and followed up by sweet treats. Visit Pacific Rim to be overwhelmed with Asian-Pacific-inspired dishes and Chartreuse for French-inspired meals that’ll dance on your taste buds.

If you’re hoping for a more casual dining scene, opt for the onboard café, Coffee Connection. Here you can sip on hot drinks and nibble on light bites al fresco while enjoying the sweeping ocean views.

Exclusive Entertainment

Regent Seven Seas Food Tasting

Something that sets Seven Seas Splendor aside from the rest is its Culinary Arts Kitchen that allows guests to learn new skills in a group cookery class. For £55, Regent Seven Seas’ executive chef, Kathryn Kelly, will teach you how to create three tasty dishes. Over the two hours, you’ll get to cook, eat and sip on prosecco with other like-minded people.

Another form of entertainment you can enjoy is the Spa Serene, featuring an outdoor infinity pool, sauna with ocean views and steam room. It’s also home to separate hydrothermal suites for men and women, a cold room and heated stone beds that are sure to relax you on a sea day.

Every evening, for the duration of your cruise, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a theatrical production, whether it be Crossroads or guest favourite, Diamond Run.
