Four Ships Where You Can Be The Star
When it comes to entertainment, cruise operators do a great job of finding the best of the best in terms of singers, dancers, and performers to ensure you have a memorable time at sea. But sometimes there’s the opportunity to step into the limelight yourself and become part of the entertainment on board.
Here are four cruise ships on which you can be a star.
Britannia – Cookery Club
When you sail on board P&O Cruises’ latest vessel, there is the chance to show the line’s Food Heroes just what you’re capable off in the kitchen. The Cookery Club is a dedicated area where you will find food mixers, halogen hobs and a utensils utopia to help you cook up a storm. Classes are taught by a team of professions who have been guided by celebrity chef James Martin and select cruises may include a masterclass from Mr Martin himself or Mary Berry, allowing you to take on the challenge of becoming star baker.
Disney Wonder – Wavebands
Disney Cruise Line has some excellent entertainment venues across its four ships, but Wavebands on board Disney Wonder is a great place for cruisers of all ages to become stars. During the day and early evening, family friendly game shows and bingo are offered, giving the kids a chance to join in the fun and have their spell in the spotlight. However, after hours, this venue, situated in the adults-only Route 66 district of the ship, allows the parents to take centre stage. Games such as ‘Match Your Mate’, where volunteers from the audience have to show how much they know about their friend or family member, will keep the grown-ups laughing into the night.
Carnival Vista – Lip Sync Battle Carnival
If you are not familiar with Lip Sync Battle, the premise is easy to understand. Two people go head to head to see which one can outperform the other by miming to a popular song in the most theatrical way possible. It started life as a segment on The Tonight Show in America and was so popular that it now has its own series on Spike TV in the US and on Channel 5 here in the UK. But, after watching various celebrities ‘sing’ their hearts out, it’s your turn to break out your inner diva on board Carnival Vista. Cruisers will be able to dive into a selection of props before taking to the stage and performing their chosen song in front of the audience.
Majestic Princess – Sing On The Sea Karaoke
If you prefer to show your star quality behind closed doors rather than to a waiting audience, Princess Cruises’ brand new Majestic Princess may be the perfect ship for you. The vessel is scheduled to make her debut in April 2017 and, amongst the details that have been released so far, we recently learnt that there will be private karaoke rooms available for you and your friends to use. These plush suites will feature a dedicated mini-bar, comfy sofas and a large selection of songs for you to belt out in front of the giant TV screens.
So, if you want to take the entertainment into your own hands on your next cruise, we can help you plan an exciting holiday on one of the ships above. Contact us today for more details.
