7 Reasons To Book Your 2016/17 Fred. Olsen Cruise Today
2015 marks 200 years of Fred. Olsen and what better way to join in the celebrations than to book your cruise for the 2016/17 season on board one of their four fantastic ships? In 1815, the first Fredrick Olsen was born and, after becoming a sea captain, he began shipping ice to Britain from Norway in 1848.
Although trading was so successful that his two brothers, Petter and Andreas, later joined, none of them could have envisaged the brand still being fruitful today. After rebuilding the fleet on two separate occasions (following both world wars), the company is now in its fifth generation and stronger than ever.
Here are seven reasons to look ahead and book next year’s cruise with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
45 Maiden Calls
During the 2016/17 season, Fred. Olsen cruise ships will be calling at no less than 45 new ports. These include Laguna San Rafael in Chile, Banana Coast in Honduras, and a range of different Scandinavian fjords. The most exciting maiden calls, however, remain unknown and will do until May 5th 2016. This is because they make up a mystery itinerary which is kept a secret until the ship arrives at each destination.
If you book your 2016/17 Fred. Olsen cruise (for less than 35 nights) before the 31st of May 2015, you will also have your tips included in the price. This means you can enjoy your holiday without worrying about tipping as you go or adding a large surcharge onto your bill at the end. You’ll have the peace of mind that everything is already taken care of, whilst additional gratuities can still be applied at your own discretion.
An All-Inclusive Upgrade
If you like to relax in the knowledge that much of what you would spend on board is covered in what you pay originally, then why not upgrade to an all-inclusive package from just £10pp. That’s right, on selected sailings, provided you book at least 6 days in advance, you can consume as much house wine and selected beers, spirits and soft drinks as you like. You will also receive 50% off premium branded alcohol; all for just £10 per person.
Free Onboard Spend
If you are looking to travel on one of three selected longer voyages in 2016/17, you can bag yourself some money to spend on board if you book before the 31st May 2015. The three itineraries are to South America for 77 nights on the 8th of January 2017, Central America for Mardi Gras and 46 nights on the 4th February 2017, and an amazing 107-night around the world voyage which departs on the 3rd January 2017. The amount of onboard spend you receive will depend on which cabin grade you select, but could be anything from £50pp all the way to £550pp if you book a suite on the around the world trip.
Complimentary Transfer From Your Door
This deal only applies to two selected sailings; the around the world voyage and South American itinerary mentioned above. If you opt for either of these, you will receive a free transfer from your own front door to the port of Southampton. This will be in the form of a taxi and could involve you sharing with other passengers, but you will be taken from door to door without having to pay a penny extra. If you do choose either of these cruises, you will have a choice between this deal or the free onboard spend mentioned above. Please note, if you live more than 250 mainland miles from the departure port you will be required to pay for the additional distance.
Buy Two Get One Free
This may sound like the kind of deal you would find at your local supermarket, but Fred. Olsen really is offering a free cruise to anyone who books two more, with all three being under the same name. This fantastic offer applies to cruises sailing on or after the 6th October 2015, so you can enjoy a summer getaway in 2016 and 2017 as well as escaping for some winter sun at the end of this year. The price of the cheapest cruise will be split into thirds and then the three portions will each be deducted from your chosen cruises; effectively giving you three cruises at a reduced rate. This opportunity applies to bookings made by the 31st May 2015.
Get Your Money Back If You Don’t Enjoy Your Cruise
If you have never cruised with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines before, and you aren’t sure whether or not you will like it, you will be very interested to hear about the Enjoyment Promise. Once you are onboard, if you find that you are not enjoying your holiday, just let the crew know within 48 hours and they will arrange a flight back to the UK from the next port. What’s more, Fred. Olsen will refund the price of your cruise. As long as the sailing is for more than 4 nights and you have booked at least 12 weeks in advance, there really is no excuse not to try a Fred. Olsen cruise.
We’re sure you’ll agree there are some fantastic offers available when you book your cruise in advance with Fred. Olsen.
