5 New Experiences On Board Harmony Of The Seas

One of the most anticipated ship launches of the year has to be that of Royal Caribbean’s new Oasis class vessel. When Harmony of the Seas finally makes her debut in May, she will become the largest cruise ship in the world, offering a whole host of fantastic experiences for over 6,000 guests. Some of these will be familiar to cruisers that have sailed with the operator before, but some are completely new. So, to get you in the mood for this massive arrival, here are five brand new things you can look forward to experiencing at sea.

The Ultimate Abyss

Whilst some people are excited about there being waterslides on board a Royal Caribbean ship for the first time ever, others are stoked about a different kind of slide. Details surrounding the Ultimate Abyss were kept completely under wraps until a few months ago, but we now know what this attraction will entail. Sliding on a mat, daredevil guests will be able to twist and turn their way down the slide, plunging a total of ten decks in a matter of seconds.

The Attic

There are all kinds of entertainment venues on board Harmony of the Seas, from ice rinks to piano bars, but The Attic is another first. This dedicated comedy club will feature nightly acts that will aim to have you laughing all the way to your next port of call.

Luckey Climbers

American travellers are likely to be a lot more family with Luckey Climbers than we are here in the UK, but you are sure to understand the buzz around these custom-built children’s play areas after your trip on board Harmony of the Seas. After installing climbers in various locations across the US, and elsewhere around the world, Royal Caribbean has commissioned Luckey Climbers to build a play area for their new ship. Kids will love the imaginative design and the fun is sure to flow in abundance.

Royal Suite Class

Starting with harmony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean is redesigning the suite experience on board their Oasis and Quantum class ships. Royal Suite Class splits all of the available suites into three different grades, offering increasing levels of luxury depending on which suite your choose. The options are Sea Class, Sky Class and Star Class, with the latter providing the most luxurious extras.

Staying in a Star Class suite (two-bedroom Aquatheatre suite or higher) will mean you can look forward to complimentary internet, free spa access, premium linens and bath products, usage of the suite lounge and exclusive restaurants, in-suite movies and much more besides. Plus, you will have your own Royal Genie who will attend to your every need throughout your cruise.

Grease Is The Word

With a whole host of hit shows previously making their way on board Royal Caribbean ships (such as We Will Rock You on board Anthem of the Seas), a brand new production will make its debut when Harmony of the Seas launches. A version of the hit musical and movie Grease will be performed by a specially selected cast, ensuring that everyone will enjoy those Summer Nights (and the winter ones too). If, however, you can’t make it onto Harmony of the Seas this year, you will be able to catch Grease on board Independence of the Seas which is sailing out of Southampton for 2016.
