Anthem of the Seas Cruises
Anthem of the Seas is the second Quantum Class ship to join the Royal Caribbean fleet and was launched in 2015. She is the sister to both Quantum of the Seas and the brand new Ovation of the Seas, which is set to make her debut in the spring of 2016. Anthem of the Seas features all of the state-of-the-art technology that comes part and parcel with this innovative class of vessel, including a bar in which your drinks are made by robots, an iconic theatre venue and the fastest internet connection at sea.
One of the most striking features of this ship is the 10 metre tall giraffe art installation that stands on deck fifteen. Lovingly known as Gigi, she is a precursor to some of the other surprises that you will find on board and reminiscent of Felicia the polar bear, who stands proudly aboard Quantum of the Seas.
Anthem of the Seas was christened by a lucky competition winner who earned the chance to be the Godmother of this fantastic ship. Travel agent Emma Wilby sang her way into this position and was honoured to perform at the ship’s inauguration, as well as smashing the all-important bottle against its hull.
As far as facilities go, you will find many venues and activities that are also found on the other Quantum Class vessels. SeaPlex℠, Ripcord by iFly, Two70°℠ and the Bionic Bar all make a re-appearance, along with a host of recognisable dining options. Jamie’s Italian can again be found amongst the restaurant options and the North Star viewing capsule can take you up and out beyond the limits of the ship. Something else you’ll find on board are the spacious and luxurious staterooms – even bigger than those on the Oasis Class ships. Loft suites provide two-tiered opulence, whilst Family Connected Junior Suites allow large groups and multi-generational families to stay together but still have their own space.
Anthem of the Seas completed her first season out of Southampton but has since moved to Cape Liberty to offer Bahamas and Caribbean cruises along with trips to Canada and New England.
